Update

Kickin N Screamin worked an easy 1/2 mile this morning in 51.1 at Tampa. We had taken it easy with her since the last race, with a lot of turnout time and some jogging and easy gallops. She worked fine and was eager throughout and when galloping out. The race on April 1st is a good fit and she will have 2 more works before that race. Daniel Centano is going to ride her back.

Sumwonlovesyou is hand walking 20 minutes a day and may get some turnout time by the end of the month.

Aldebutante has been doing some easy works, 1/4 miles in 30 seconds and things like that. Kenny reports that everything is moving forward with her. I am going to be in Ocala next weekend for the sales and will watch her train a few times.

Rampillion is still doing well. She along with a few of her barn mates got a little sick last week but they have recovered quickly. Partner Paul Harte will be visiting her this week and promises pictures.

Just arrived home (Ess Eff as Byk says) from Ft. Worth area and the current home of Rampillion (Came Home 2yo filly). Rampillion is in the care of Scott Cole at the old Trinity facility about 15 miles west of Ft. Worth. Scott is a very capable trainer of our youngsters and has 3 of his own Texas bred 2-year olds (all by Sawgrass) plus an additional six 2 year olds who will be sent to Chuck. There are 7 additional two year olds: Rampillion, a Rossini filly, a Century City filly, a Saarland, a Mizzen Mast filly, a NY Bred Phone Trick, and a Cryptoclearance colt. (Hope i got everything correct with the horses)

All of the two year olds including Rampillion look great. Scott formerly worked with Chuck and was also previously the exercise rider for other trainers like Bill Mott, James Bond, and Steve Assmussen. Scott has also trained a string for Steve Assmussen before taking on his current crop of 2 year olds. He is a capable horseman and very likeable.

Rampillion has been with Scott since mid-November. She has gotten over a minor ailment and a cold that the whole barn caught a while back. It is not uncommon for young horses to catch a bug and have it passed along.

I watched Rampillion yesterday go out on the track in company with the Mizzen Mast filly. She jogged around the track 3 times before coming back to the barn to get her bath and walked around the walking ring for awhile. She is capable of working each morning by herself but Scott had her in company yesterday.

It should be noted that all of these horses are still quite young in their process and have a ways to go. They are learning and will look much different in a couple of months from now. I believe the plan for Rampillion and the other two-year olds are to keep them in Texas at least to sometime in April and then ship them north to Kentucky.

I will be posting pictures shortly.
