Sumwonlovesyou is still doing fine at the farm. The growth on her back leg seems to have regressed and should not be an issue. I am going to try to get out to see her this week and will get some pictures.
For those who are interested in the new yearling package, let me say that I love both fillies that we bought. The Aldebaran filly should be fairly early, hopefully starting next year at Saratoga. She has a nice sturdy frame but still has a little room for some growing up to do. The Came Home filly has all the physical attributes of a good horse. She may not be at her best sprinting but she will be a good racehorse.I know that some of you guys simply don't have the funds to get involved in all our horses but I hope you will still be a fan and follow the stables other horses.
We are still looking for the elusive 2nd horse. I would rather wait until we find the right one than just jump in and grab any old thing.
Thanks again for anyone involved in Dee Tee, this stable would not be possible if you guys didn't contribute not only with your wallets but with your support too.

Sumwonlovesyou update
Sumwon is doing well at the farm. She has caught the attention of the kids of the owner of the place and is getting as much attention as she can stand. Apparently Sumwon is eating well and not doing too much running around, just kind of kicking back and unwinding. Hopefully we can get some pictures soon.

What's going on...
I have been very busy lately and as such have neglected the blog updates (sorry). Sumwon is doing very well since her race last Sunday. She has been very strong and aggressive this week, giving Cherie fits galloping her. Obviously while disappointed at last weeks result, I am encouraged enough about her recovery to point her to a starter allowance race on Sunday the 26th at Saratoga. The race is 7 furlongs and since Saratoga has no middle distance races, Steve and I, along with the input of many of you guys, feel a cutback to a long sprint is in order. After this race we will almost certainly stop on her for a brief freshening and will get her ready for New Orleans.
Though Saratoga has been hectic, it has been great meeting so many of you that have been able to come up and visit. When we put this thing together, one of our goals was to have fun and try to hit as many tracks and areas of the country as possible so that all of the partners might have a chance to see our horse in their neck of the woods. We have made a pretty good showing in the Midwest and at Saratoga, however there is still a lot of ground to cover and we only have one little (not really little) horse. I know that many of you have expressed interest in joining our second offering and may have friends and family that want to join also. Steve is about finished with the paperwork for our next offerings and if the response is as strong as we think it may be we may be able to expand past just 2 more horses. If you guys are as willing and as enthusiastic about the new offerings we may really be on to something. I know that it has been very rewarding for me to be able to help so many people to realize an opportunity that they may have never thought possible. I also have made many new friends and met a lot of really great people (though you guys have really spoiled the filly to the point where Riot may have to enter her into obedience school). So spread the word and lets get as many people involved as we can and I promise to try to hit every track and every area we can, hopefully leaving some legendary stories behind.

Sumwon in Saratoga
Sumwonlovesyou is doing well since her arrival in Saratoga. She has been galloping on the Oklahoma training track and has taken in her new surroundings in stride. We plan on working her tomorrow morning on the main track around 8:30-8:45. If anyone is planning on going to see the work you can meet up with other Dee Tee members around the winners circle at 8:20. We are located in barn 86 if you want to see her at the barn but please try to get there in the morning if possible.

Sumwonlovesyou works
Sumwonlovesyou worked well this morning as described by Riot. She will be shipping to Saratoga on Sunday afternoon, arriving early Monday morning. We will be located in the steeplechase Annex across from the backside of the Oklahoma training track on 5th avenue. It is a good spot with easy access for the members of DeeTee. Plus we may get the inside scoop on the jumpers from neighbors Jonathan Sheppard and Tom Voss.

There will be an important announcement coming soon......and don't worry it has nothing to do with Sumwonlovesyou. As members of the original Dee Tee stable you will hear about it first. Stay tuned....

Update on Sumwon
Sumwonloves you returned in the middle of the night following her second place finish Wednesday. She was understandably tired from the effort and shipping but looks no worse for wear otherwise. I thought that she ran well and tried very hard. That she is able to relax enough to let horses pass her on the inside and rate is something that we have been working on for a long time, and will make her a more effective horse. I was pleased with the way she handled the ship and also the polytrack at Arlington. Though it is frustrating getting so close (believe me I have a lot of recent experience) and not winning, I appreciate how far she has come and how hard she tries.
It was great to meet more of the partners and other DT members at AP. One of the enjoyable aspects from my point of view is meeting new friends from diverse backgrounds and helping people experience the joy of owning horses. The Chicago crew is great and both Steve and I had a blast up there. I'm sure it wont be our last trip there!
That being said, it is time to win a race and what better venue than Saratoga on Sunday August 5th. There is a 1 1/8th race NW1x optional $75k claimer that day unless Steve insists on the Test (only kidding unless it is a 3 horse field!). The timing is good and I believe that a slow paced mile and an eighth may be perfect. The trouble is that sometimes those races don't fill that great and being on a weekend they may not let it go with a short field. There are also a few grass races that we may enter in MTO. It has been known to rain in Saratoga on occasion.

Sumwonlovesyou At Arlington
The race on Wednesday looks to be a typical race for that caliber of horse at Arlington. It is not a walk in the park by any means but I think we drew a good post position and looks to be in pretty good shape. The filly came out of her work well and seems to be in great shape. She will ship out on Tuesday morning and should arrive at Arlington mid-afternoon. We are shipping into Peter Walder's barn and will be shipping out on Wednesday night after the race.

Sumwons CD Work in the AM
We cancelled her work today because the track was really muddy from the rain overnight. She is schedule to work tomorrow morning going 5 furlongs after the break around 8:30. Cherie will be working her and depending on track condition we are looking for a work in the 101 to 102 range with a 14 second gallop out time which would give us 6 furlongs in around 115 or so. W enter tomorrow so we will have the details about what race number and post position in the afternoon. The rider situation is still uncertain though there are a few options available. I will post tomorrow with more information.
